Trapped By Fears

1.Who is afraid to cross the Mackinac Bridge? How does this fear affect them? Sometimes is man sometimes is woman who is afraid to cross the mackinac bridge it can be young person,hut just as often it's older adult.

2.What are the results of a phobia? They don't want to touch anything, others are afriaid of animals, like cats or snakes. in some people, the fear is so strong they can't do the thing they want to do.

3.How can childhood events lead to phobias? The events are by dog and snakes afraid of the sound.

4. How can people with phobias learn to live with them? (Main idea and supporting details) Sometime people who have phobias the go to doctor for help.

acrophobia is: Being near alot of people. This makes them experience extreme fear.

1- What details show that Buck is a leader?
  • The details show that buck is a leader is " He was willing to wait for just the right moment to take Spitz's place as leader. He want to be a leader, because it was his nature.
2-How would you describe Buck's life in the Beginning of the story, in the middle, and in the end.
  • In the beginning of the story buck went to different owner, in the middle of the story he went to ice place where he never went before, in the end of the story he made his kill.
3-How has Buck's character change throughout the story?
  • Throughout the story buck change his experiences in more powerful and strong ways. for instance, he is defending himself into " kill-or-be-killed".
4- External conflict is a struggle between the main character and others. Internal conflict is a struggle within the main character. What type of conflict has Buck faced in the story- internal or external? How do you know?
  • Internal conflict, because he has to face with nature.

  • This means buck has been beaten repeatedly by one of his kidnappers. This incident is Buck's introduction to a new way of life, vastly different from the pampered existence that he led in the Santa Clara Valley.

  • when the dogs were going to the hundred miles of trail between him and Dawson it was painfully for the dogs and the water was freeze.it cold snap was on, and it fell to fifty degrees below zero. each time he broke through the man have to build a fire and dry his clothes to save his own life.

  • buck challenges Spitz for the rabbit. This begins their fight to the death

  • The revolt led by buck had destroyed and unity of the team, because of that they are no longer working together. they stated to hate each other by staring war.

  • Spitz even goes out of his way to bully Buck and and buck does the same thing to Spitz.

  • i think it means that he learns how to survive in the wild because he is forced to.

  • I think in page 390 buck feels the call of the wild. Because buck was mad on Spitz.

  • There are many themes in The Call of the Wild. One that I would suggest is survival of the fittest. There are many references in the book about that theme, especially when Buck is first learning about behavior in the sled team

  • When my close one is sick i feel so bad than i go with my mom to the hospita because when you have sick you feel illness.
